Sally Anne Doyle-Caddick

MAPS MICR

Psychology & Accredited Autism Diagnostician

About Sally Anne

I offer diagnostic and psychological services in private practice, following a long career in NHS mental health services and research.

Psychology

I am trained in a family systems and psychodynamic approach. I provide talking therapy, and psychological support, psycho-education and cognitive re-framing as needed.

You may be concerned about your psychological health or need informed professional support, but you do not have to have a formal psychological or mental health diagnosis to see me.

Initial sessions are often about assessing your concerns and then working out what way forward may be most helpful to you, whether that can be provided within my practice or elsewhere.

Where agreed, talking therapy sessions here can be on a weekly, fortnightly or as needed basis.

Writing to and liaising with your NHS GP or specialists where necessary is included in my usual session fees.

Specific conditions treatable
Adults of all ages and young people with concerns about:

  • Stress-induced depression or anxiety
  • Mental health concerns, including low mood, anxiety, BPD, PTSD, trauma
  • Psychological difficulties as a result of physical illness or treatment
  • Concerns about neurodiversity (ASD, ADD/ADHD), associated anxiety and coping strategies
  • Psychological support needs due to trauma, difficulties or neurodiversity in the family.

Diagnostic services

I am a specialist clinician, researcher and RCGP lecturer in diagnosis and mental health treatment within the Autism Spectrum and ADD/ADHD, for adults and teens.

Within my practice (Psychology Cambridge), I provide bespoke Autism Spectrum and ADD/ADHD assessment for young people aged 15 upwards and adults of all ages who are verbally fluent, using current gold-standard assessment tools:

  • ADOS-2 assessment (including ADI-R) (also used within NHS services)
  • MIGDAS questionnaire (concerning sensory and social sensitivities)
  • DIVA-5 assessment for ADHD / ADD (if required)
  • Conners questionnaires (where required)

For a diagnosis of ASD or Autism, I am the accredited clinician responsible for the final diagnosis, with the results of the whole assessment reported in a medico-legal format report, and next steps discussed.

For a diagnosis of ADD/ADHD I provide a psychometric assessment, which (if that assessment suggests a positive result) can be confirmed based on my report, after referral to a specifically trained medical specialist, GP or psychiatrist.

Further details of timelines and fees are available on enquiry. I aim to respond as quickly as possible to diagnostic assessment enquiries and further requirements, given current concerns about NHS service waiting times, and their impact particularly on teens and young people.

Benefits of diagnostic assessment

For a diagnosis of ASD or Autism, I am the accredited clinician responsible for the complete assessment and final diagnosis, and provision of the diagnosis reported in a medico-legal format report.

My overall assessment fee includes reporting to and liaising with schools, universities, workplaces, NHS GP or specialists where necessary.

Related psychological support services

Whether as part of an agreed diagnostic process or not, I provide psychological support and psycho-education to parents of adolescents and young people who are either presumed to be, or diagnosed as, being on the Autism Spectrum or having ADD/ADHD.
