Patrick Yardy - MBACP

About – Patrick Yardy

Hello and welcome. I am Patrick, an experienced Counsellor offering face to face counselling sessions to adult individuals in a confidential, safe and quiet setting in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. I am a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

From our first contact I offer you a totally confidential service with a dedicated phone and e-mail address. Any contact you have with me will only be accessed by me.

You will find that I am a caring, empathetic friendly counsellor with a professional approach who is committed to your individual growth and sense of true wellbeing. Sometimes we all have issues that we need help facing, working through, and overcoming. It might be an overwhelming life event, a crippling trauma, a transition, or life changes that may be hard to move past, or accept.

In my practice I work to an integrative approach which allows me to progress at your pace applying Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles. The integrative counselling approach acknowledges that you are a unique individual and that different people have different needs and no one single approach is sufficient.

How it works

As your therapist, I will provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment in which we can work together to better understand and resolve any challenges in your life. if you choose to work with me, the work will be focussed on the issues you bring, with the understanding that we will not simply examine the issue in total isolation but as a part of your world, seeing it in the wider context of your life and history.
