What is Thermal Imaging?
Medical thermography is a complementary treatment that aims to identify circulation, hormonal activity, inflammation and pain symptoms using thermal imagery.
It focuses on prevention of illness and disease by identifying changes early and is therefore a valuable assessment tool for breast health as an addition to the standard structural tests like ultrasound and mammography.
It is suitable for women of all ages, pain and radiation-free.
The thermal images produced show normal and unusual patterns of heat in the body which could suggest abnormalities.
Although commonly associated with early identification of metabolic changes in the breasts, thermal imaging can also be used to look at unidentified sources of pain in the body, which may be due to varicose veins, ligament damage, nerve entrapment, inflammation of tissues or organs, circulatory diseases, digestive issues or immune disease.
