How acupuncture can help you:
Acupuncture is holistic in nature, and diagnosis is built around a detailed comprehensive ‘picture-map’ (Full Traditional Diagnosis) of the whole person. Because of this you will generally notice other niggling problems resolve as your main complaint improves (positive side effects). Acupuncture can be used effectively alongside conventional medicine.
How acupuncture works:
Acupuncture helps restore and maintain the body’s equilibrium. It involves the insertion of the finest needles into specific points on the body to regulate the flow of the body’s Qi (vital energy) to promote physical and emotional harmony.
Mark practices two main branches of acupuncture: Five Elements, and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Five Element Acupuncture treats at a deep constitutional level, taking into account all that makes a person who they are; their personal qualities, preferences and aversions as well as their symptoms and issues. This approach is excellent for problems in the mental/emotional realm and strengthening the person at their very core.
TCM is more closely related to overt symptoms of illness. It is a more direct and specialised approach to a particular problem. Five Elements and TCM are complementary to one another, tending towards more chronic, and more acute disorders respectively.
