There is over 30 years of clinical evidence that regularly practising Mindfulness is a fundamental technique in lowering stress, anxiety and depression. These results also show improvements in confidence, resilience, mental and emotional flexibility.
What is it? Who is this course for? Camilla Ghazala
This course is run in association with The Mind Sanctuary.
Ghazala Group telephone: 01638 552047.
What is it? Mindfulness is a technique that encourages observation of our thoughts and emotions. This is a different technique to being immersed in our thoughts and encouraging them. Both skills are necessary for living. Learning and practicing Mindfulness enables us to develop new ways of dealing with habitual thinking habits such as worry, worst case scenarios, negative thoughts, self criticism, self pressure, inflexible thinking. All of these thought habits will create high amounts of anxiety/stress and for some, depression.
This course is available for those who are open to learning something new and are committed to each of the four sessions. What I love about this practice is that I can do it any place, any time, any where and no-one knows I’m doing it! It’s a flexible technique that is always with me.
Mindfulness is internal gym work and like all exercise, benefits are matched by input. I invite all participants to practice for a minimum of 10 mins a day throughout this course. To achieve the maximum benefits you will need to practice for longer. Most of your daily practice can be combined with everyday routines so you do not have to make time for this!
This course is a mixture of practicing Mindfulness and insightful education, looking at how our thoughts directly affect how we feel and behave.
Who is this course for? Those who would like to lower their stress/anxiety levels, those working in high-pressured environment who would like work to affect them less, those who would like to understand themselves a little more, those who are in cycles they don’t know how to get out of and those who would like to improve their wellbeing, This course is not appropriate for individuals experiencing moderate-severe mental/emotional health conditions at this time.
