pilates classThe Pilates Method is not just a series of exercises but a complete approach to developing body awareness. It concentrates on developing the strength of the core stability muscles and in doing so improves posture alignment. It is highly recommended for those with back injuries or postural issues.

The Key Benefits of Pilates are :

Classes available

  • Beginners 8 weeks courses or  Intermediate or Mixed Levels & Small Group Classes
  • One to one rehabilitation programmes
  • Private group classes ( Workplace, WI , Schools etc )

Classes @ the self centre take place on the following days/times:

  • Monday evening

6.15 - 7.15pm Beginners and 7.30 - 8.30pm Intermediate

  • Tuesday mornings

9.30 - 10.30 All levels (Beginners welcome) 

  • Wednesday mornings

9.30  - 10.30am  Beginners

  • Wednesday evening

6.15pm - 7.15pm Beginners  and 7.15 to 8.15pm Intermediate

  • Thursday evening

6.00 - 7.00pm  - Beginners  and   7.00 - 8.00pm  - Intermediate

  • Friday lunchtime

12.00 - 1.00pm All levels (Beginners welcome)

Emma-Jane is beginning to ease herself back into teaching after giving birth to the beautiful Charlie in October. She will return to teaching Monday and Thursday evenings and Sabina will continue on Wednesday evenings and Friday lunchtimes for now!

Emma-Jane Adkins

I’ve been in the fitness industry for 10 years starting as a Freelance Instructor and working up to Management in Health & Fitness.  In 2003 I fulfilled my ambition and worked as the Fitness Director onboard a 6* luxury cruise liner.  I trained clients from all over the World and go to see some amazing places like the Amazon, doing the job I love.

For the last 6 years I have taught Pilates and am trained in Mat Based Pilates and with the ball and bands.  As a qualified Adult Education Tutor I have also delivered Pilates courses.  Through the years I have worked for many clubs and successfully run my own Pilates classes.  I have helped many clients alleviate their back pain and through my passion and motivation people have achieved their goals and enjoyed exercise!
