De-stress and Energise Days “finding the balance”
COMPLETE HEALTH Stress is the modern day epidemic we hear of all the time. One person’s “enjoyable challenge” can be another’s “last straw”. Motivating stimulus is fine but, as with most things, there is a point beyond which something healthy and positive becomes negative. Too much unrelenting stimulus and things tend to deteriorate into stress. In the UK it is estimated that work-related stress is responsible for six million days of sick leave a year, with stress being linked to many minor and major illnesses.
For example:
High blood pressure, headaches, neck aches, muscle tension and pain, cramps, dizziness, asthma, digestive symptoms such as diarrhoea, bloating, nausea, IBS, lack of appetite, over-eating, ulcers, cravings, crying easily, tiredness, sexual problems, poor immune function, insomnia, anxiety, low mood or depression…
Give your colleagues the skills they need to manage stress and energise their being. This 1 hour programme is an unusual combination of information on stress reactions and how to control the physical impact, practical self help techniques, supporting products and remedies to help.
Participants will learn how to:
- Identify their own warning signs
- Take control and reduce stress with proven techniques that can be done in a few moments
- Manage changes to nutrition and eating patterns - Discover the foods that may be damaging cells, but also the foods that will feed cells, acting as catalysts for a healthy, energised body and fully functioning metabolism.
- Identify supplements, herbs and homeopathic remedies to help
- Use Reflexology techniques to control stress responses and energise the whole person. Reflexology can play a large part in helping to reduce stress by inducing deep, tranquil relaxation.
Attendees will be given basic diet sheets, information on identification and control of stress, details on supplements, herbs and homeopathic remedies.
PERSONAL PROFILE
CHRIS WHARTON MAR, MCthA
For many years complementary medicine and all that it could achieve fascinated Chris. She read and researched extensively the advantages of drug-free complementary therapies and eventually her interest lead to in depth study and qualification. After studying Naturopathic Nutrition principles, she qualified in Light Touch and Meridian Reflexology, Herbal Therapy and Flower Essences. Having worked in Clinic for some years, she now practices in Suffolk and regularly attends courses to update and further her knowledge. Chris uses Aqua Detox treatments to detoxify and re-balance the body. Additionally, she is an accredited practitioner of Reiki, a traditional Japanese healing practice that restores and balances the body’s internal energy flow.
Chris cares about her clients and is there to listen and support. She is passionate in her belief that good health and a more natural way of living can improve the quality of life for everyone; if she didn’t believe that, she wouldn't be practising. Being a down-to-earth person, she thinks good, healthy nutrition should be practical rather than perfectionist; do-able rather than impossible. Ideally, it should be a pleasure, too…
She believes that the healing process is dependent on the mind–body–spirit connection which influences the cellular structure to change and a combined treatment approach, together with the right eating plan, will help you to achieve good health and to feel “right” in your body, your mind and your world.
