De-stress and Energise Days “finding the balance”
THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE The Alexander Technique re-teaches you how to use your body in a safer way. When we watch young children we are amazed at how easily they move about. Well, that used to be us! During our lifetime we pick up habits and our lifestyles lead us to move in mysterious ways, not always healthy!
Slouching on a settee, walking whilst looking at the floor and holding your breath when concentrating, using a computer: these are all habits that have a knock on effect within our bodies.
In the workplace you will become aware of your desk space, where your computer and phone are situated. Are they in the right place for you? Your chair may not be at the right height or your computer screen too low so that you are looking down causing neck issues. By becoming aware of your own body and what you do with it you can begin to change the things around you so that you can function better and more efficiently, reducing unnecessary stress and strain.
