The Pilates Method is not just a series of exercises but a complete approach to developing body awareness. It concentrates on developing the strength of the core stability muscles and in doing so improves posture alignment. It is highly recommended for those with back injuries or postural issues.
The Key Benefits of Pilates are :
- Better posture;
- less incidence of back pain;
- strength and muscle tone;
- flatter stomach and toned buttocks;
- fewer injuries;
- Suitable for everyone, regardless of fitness levels, ideal for those that suffer with back problems.

Core Evolution is an intelligent exercise system giving you a session that makes your body feel like it has been correctly stretched, worked, developed and rested. It combines many ancient and modern elements and both compliments and enhances yoga and pilates pracice.
Andy believes it''s important to provide people with a place where they can develop the body along with their well being, where you work to your own level and see quick progression. It is also important to concentrate mainly on the efficiency of the exercise as oppose to the level of input, so you feel as though you have really trained your body and leave feeling that you have more energy than when you arrived.

TEACHERS PROFILES
Sarah Halls
Already working as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, I decided in 2006 to train to become a Pilates Teacher so that I could share my passion for Pilates with others. I had been practising Pilates for many years before this and love the effect it has on my body. Pilates was a refreshing change from my usual energetic fitness regime! As I progressed the exercises became more challenging and as a result my body became more strong and supple. My posture improved and I simply feel better from doing it.
I trained with Future Fit Training and since then I have not looked back. I now work freelance as a Pilates Teacher and my sessions are based around Joseph Pilates original regime of exercises. I have also completed refresher training in Fitness Pilates since taking a break from teaching after starting my family.
Pilates exercises involve movement flowing from a strong centre using breathing to help re balance the body, both stretching and strengthening the muscles. Controlled, quality movements are used to help develop awareness, concentration and promote relaxation. Sessions are tailored for beginners or mixed level.

I trained as a Personal Trainer with the YMCA in 1999 and worked at Greens Health Club in Cambridge. While I was there I gained my Pilates Matwork qualification studying with Michael King at the Pilates Institute in London, this was in 2000.
I worked in and around Cambridge and then spent a year travelling,teaching in Spain and Switzerland.
Since then I have had two children and studied Pilates in pregnancy.
I have also trained in Fitness Pilates with Rachel Holmes and regularly attend courses and workshops.
My classes are fun and social and suitable for every single person. I truly believe that Pilates is great for everybody and I can tailor moves to suit your body and strength.
Come to one of my classes, you'll definitely get hooked!

I have been working in the fitness Industry since 2005. After having 3 beautiful boys I suffered badly with multiple prolapsed discs - my future looked very bleak and was told I may never be able to partake in any strenuous exercise again....I believed this until I discovered Pilates! The rest, as they say, is history! I felt a need to help others to regain quality of life in the way I had. I now compete in Triathlons, cycling time trials, ultra marathons and various other obscure activities...just to prove the doctors wrong! 'Pilates rules OK!'
I am now working as a Personal Trainer, specialising in nutrition and weight management, posture correction and core strength. Along with my Personal Trainer Diploma I also have a studio Diploma (including Pilates, Power Pilates, Exercise to Music, Circuits, Torso training and spin).
I have now been teaching Pilates of all levels, from beginners to advanced, including Fitness Pilates, to both groups and individuals, for over 6 years. There is nothing more rewarding than sharing my motivation, knowledge and passion for Pilates than helping others to regain and maintain their quality of life!
